Here is an art piece that is underway. It is for an auction to raise money for our monastery. The sketch shows a priest here in CC during the part of the mass where he says "Ecce Agnus Dei" (Behold the Lamb of God). I want to picture that amazing part of the mass as if you could see with supernatural eyes.

Wow - beautiful! The perspective is so good already that the pencil looks like it's floating.

awesome!

There is something delightful even about the half finished-ness of it. The right side is light and the left dark. The left side is real and the right ??? heavenly.

Nice to hear from the whole family :) Thanks for the compliments ... I am looking forward to the finished project.

Ria - If you keep practicing drawing pictures (like the one on your blog ...which BTW I really liked) you will be able to draw as well if not better. And when you come visit me I will give you a few tips if you would like :)

Just beautiful MK. At Mass at St. Michael's once there was a guest priest. During his homily, he asked us to imagine what was going on when we approached to receive Holy Communion. He said our guardian angels bowed down in front of us in worship of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament as we received and prostrated themselves before us as we went back to the pew.

I've always remembered this and your picture reminded me of them. Great work -- keep it up.
